Welcome to the
website of the Aberdeen Nine Ball Association (ANBA). ANBA was formed in
spring 2001 to develop the game of 9-ball pool in the north east of
Scotland.
Our mission is to promote and
develop our sport, and to act as a contact point for all cue sport
enthusiasts in the north east. ANBA is a non-profit making organisation.
Use the navigation bars on the
left to negotiate your way round this site; the
About Us section
introduces both ANBA (as an organisation), and the game of 9-ball pool
itself (for newcomers); the Latest News
section is updated at least weekly, and contains reports on recent
tournaments, and any happenings within ANBA.
ANBA League contains an up to date current league table, as
well as final standings for previous leagues; the
Where It's At section contains all dates vital to 9-ball
pool players in the north east; under ANBA
Rankings, you will not only find the current official ANBA
ranking list, but also a full explanation of how it works.
The
ANBA Open is the flagship pool event in Aberdeen, and
therefore deserves its own page, complete with historical section;
For The Record contains a reference
guide to all ANBA tournament winners, as well as all ANBA record holders;
then comes our Links section,
which will guide you to other 9-ball sites, as well as the local snooker and
8-ball sites.
